An Artist Studio for a Dollhouse

Fran Sussman, Miniature Artisan, Member International Guild of Miniature Artisans

Build and furnish an urban loft-style artist's studio in the infinitesimal 1:144 scale, or "dollhouse for a dollhouse" scale. Following Sussman’s detailed steps, students will construct the small room box, and then scratch-build the contents using wood and plastics. Students learn how to weather and add realism to the miniature studio, using many of the tricks mastered by miniature artists. The finished studio will be a miniature marvel measuring approximately 1" wide, deep, and tall. The class is ideal for beginners as well as those who work in miniature.
