La Amistad, the now famous coastal schooner, whose name means “friendship,” spent two years in New London harbor. Come learn about how it came to be here and its historical impact.

Performer Bandele-Asante was born and raised in New London, CT. Here she attended public grade schools and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College.
